| The SPT probe failures that are often encountered during operation not only decrease the accuracy of STP result, but also affect the efficiency of SPT. This paper gives a general classification of common failures, and makes a detailed analysis of the reason that leads to failure. Besides, the author puts forward advices to improve the probe according to the defects and accelerate development of the technique. |
