The Suichang-Longquan district lies in the sowthwest Zhejiang province. Several gold-deposits were discovered there. Tow sets of stratum are exposed, which are metamorphic rocks in the base and volcanic rocks in the upper. Geochemical studies suggest that the material of gold deposits derive mainly from the metamorphic rocks instead of volcanic rocks. Isotopic ages for the monomineral and the whole rock and geological observations show the Mesozoic is a main mineralization time for the gold deposits. The works for fluid inclusions indicate the metallogenic fluid can be divided into two stages. The metamorphic water of the early Mesozoic make the primay enrichment of gold and the meteoric water of the Yanshanian (Middle-Later Mesozoic) make gold deposit. Metallogenetic temperatures and pressures for main-stage mineralication are from 221 to 365℃, from 1.6 to 3.1 10 Pa respectively. Gold deposits are infered to be buried about 0.4-0.9 Km deep. The geological and geochemical characteristics of the gold deposits in this district are silimar to those of others in the world. Consequently these gold deposits can be regarded as the epithermal gold deposits relating to volcanism. |
